Some time ago I did a post on Instagram about not letting fear get the better of you.
I also gave a possible solution.
Doing things you enjoyed before the miscarriage. And to also try new things.
I read somewhere that fear is an unpleasant emotion that's caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm.Doing things you enjoyed before the miscarriage. And to also try new things.
What is Fear?
Fear is debilitating, toxic and wastes time and energy.
Fear causes us to flinch, cower, cringe, panic as well as dread situations or things.
All these states cause us stress, pain, and embarrassment.
Since this is the case, why are we still in fear and not trying to get out from under it?
What We Should Do About Fear
Let's kick fear to the curb and do:
- Things that made us feel whole, complete and blessed.
- Hobbies we once enjoyed or even get a new one.
Here's an idea.
Create a Pinterest profile - if you don't have one already - and create boards and pin stuff you already like or would like to do.
You could:
- Create a board that will house the pins of things you'd like to do before a certain time. Like a bucket list.
- Your dream nursery or child's room.
- Recipes for... whatever
- Design and decor for your home or dream home.
- Outfits.
- Shoes.
Anything you like!
Things I Enjoyed
As a matter of fact, I've found that I still enjoy these activities.
- Reading.
- Learning about how to be a better blogger.
- Learning and sharing about social media.
- Pinning on Pinterest.
- Visiting my DIY, home decor, and Gardening boards.
- Learning about small living and making a home.
- And a few DIYs thrown in.
Who Doesn't Love DIYs
I love DIYs.
Don't believe me check out my Pinterest profile.
It has all types of DIYs.
Sometimes I have trouble finding a pin for a project.

... because of that, I'm going to make two more boards: sewing and furniture. Make things a little more organized.
Anyway, ... I love DIYs and over the years I've done a few.
Once I made a skirt suit and when I was going to college I made my uniform skirt. I was proud of myself because I got compliments on both the skirt and suit.

I even made lace panties. Mad skills huh!
Back then I had access to a sewing machine and an elasticator. Now, I don't, so I don't do much in the line of sewing.

Now, my DIYs are along the line of:
- stove top pizza to satisfy a pregnancy craving.
- Flower pots from cement.
- Floating shelves.
- Gardening - tomatoes, pineapples, sorrel, peas, beans, garlic, scallion, potatoes, pumpkins, ginger and more in my tiny yard.
My point is, I'm going to take my own advice and start DIYing again.
And when I do, I'll share them with you.
On my DIY list are:
- Laundry soap
- Body wash
- Deodorant
- A closet
- Gallery wall
- Air freshener
- Cushions
- Growing veggies
Not necessarily in this order mind you.
I'm already excited!
And best of all I have some of the ingredients and materials on hand.

Can't wait to get started!
This is going to be fun!
What About You
But I want to wish you luck too and see your project.
Come on!
It doesn't have to be flamboyant or expensive.
That's the whole point of DIYing - inexpensive and to save money.
Also to have fun.
Put your creative juices to work and kick fear to the curb.
And if you'd like, I'll help you with the Pinterest stuff.
